Shader Compilation?
I was interested in buying this game on release day but due to heavy shader stutter (thanks unreal engine) and no shader compilation I changed my mind in th end. Now I'm curios if they added shader compilation with a patch or is it still a stutter mess?

I never had any shader stutter issues with the game. So, the cause for your stutterd must be something different.

The first time you start the game there´s a long(ish) -depends on your hardware - shader compilation. After that´s done, the shaders compile only for a few seconds after every new start of the game.
No issues for me here.

It's a unreal engine game and if there is no shader compilation there will be shader stutter. I saw that it had no shader compilation on the demo and had the classic shader stutter, I also saw many videos that showed exactly this; shader stutter. Digital Foundry for example talks about this problem also: https://youtu.be/CCEYFUrErAk

That you experienced no shader stutter must be one of the following reasons:
1. You play with a rather weak PC that has never good performance to begin with such as a constant framerate so your brain is kinda used to stutters
2. You played it after they patched (?) shader compilation.
3. You simply lie.

@DAZ

Well that anwesers my question. There is a shader compilation, nice.

See, you are bullshitting yourself with your reply towards me. You can check my specs in my profile and as I stated, I had no issues with shader stuttering. Finished the whole game with all achievements.
So, I played it since the day one patch.

Yes i got hard stutters in the first few hours, from 150fps down to 70 and back again, that only went away when i limited the fps to 60 and used Lossless Scaling framegeneration x 2 to lock the framerate to 120fps. I noticed no input lag, but it was likely there.
