-Bigger ones can have 3 for Moon and 4 for Water in 20 seconds ^^ more idk yet
-You get skillseeds like 10% more dmg with that element or something along those lines sometimes new magic use seeds its not that great but when you really wanna specialise it might be good. EDIT: (As mentioned below there is dmg+10% double cast and a spell of the element more info in the post below) Also as far as i know its the only way to get some of those.
-what even does that mean x.x
I just did them on normal i stopped doing them on hard x.x when you like the challenge its fine but the difficulty difference is just crazy in there normal is like a cakewalk in comparison to hard. Also as info you can go back to them later on to try again with more elements and skills for you to try again.
- one gives you a spell seed of that element (note that for dryad it's the resurrection spell, that's where it is).
- one gives you the corresponding element +10% damage seed.
- one gives you the double cast seed for that element (double cast passives lets you select 2 spells of the same element of the seed from the ring menu to be cast at the same time, it's an insane dps boost, but you can only equip a single double cast seed on a char, so if you equip the water one, you can't equip the fire, earth etc. ones for example).
I haven't done the greater ones yet, so I don't know what they give.
Great ones i know of are those two:
Water "Oath of Tides": Extends the duration of an Elemental Break by 30%
Moon "Oath of Renewal" : Moves Consume 60% less MP when used during an Elemental Break.
I guess a good strategy when entering a new area is to leave the aeries alone, collect everything else, then check if the next town sells better weapons.

I did it with the water vessel you can use it unlimited just dodge ocassionally to reposition and kill the last wave with another elemental class strike also what helped me later on was the elemental vessel charge thingy (first skill second column) for wind as example at the start since then you can kinda super dash around and to every enemy pretty fast. ^^
For the puzzle eeries like above, you have to figure out which elemental vessel works the best, it's trial and error. You can clear one of the waves with a class strike, I typically save the class strike for the last wave. Or if you really dislike them, you can just use at trainer to lock the CS gauge to 100 and spam class strikes to simply knock it out.
You know what, that makes perfect sense. They probably want you to use the specific vessel of the aerie now that i think about it.
