Map button...?

Playing on controller I am so confused, lol. I thought I just had not unlocked the normal map yet, only to find that after looking up keyboard controls, M does bring it up. Why on earth does select not actually bring up the map?

I just figured out that on PS4 controller the map is the touchpad. I'm too old for this LOL I would never assume this button does anything without being told. Why this over select LMAO
