Do the cutscenes chill out
I’m on chapter 2 & the cutscene spam was getting tiring to the point I fell asleep for 5 minutes while they were going (I’m not joking). Does it ever get any better? Id like to play the game, not watch it

You can skip them if you don’t wanna watch them.

Unfortunately no. It stays like that throughout the entire game.

Well that sucks. Just ruins the pacing. I like the gameplay a lot but these cutscenes are tiresome

I mean... you don't have to run straight for a cutscene.. do sidequest and explore lol. but, I mean its a jrpg... its about the story.

I taken my sweet time on this game. Usually looking for loot to gather over times. I later notice few cut scenes have frame rate drop. Probably to much animation going on.

If you think this game is bad with cutscenes, you ain't seen nothin. Cutscenes on this game tend to be fairly short, and instances of multiple ones in a row like that are no more common than in other such games. And also you can speed them up further by skipping through dialogue.

Imagine picking up a JRPG and complaining about story dialogue or cut scenes...and yes, the story/cut scenes in this game is rather short compared to other modern JRPGs

No. I’ve played many JRPG’s. This one is just paced poorly & overloaded with cutscenes in places where it could just be dialogue instead. Long cutscenes are not a problem when done properly. Poorly paced cutscene spam are an issue

I ... haven't actually noticed an avalance of cutscenes? Their frequency feels appropriate? Am I spending too much time running around maps or something?

It's um. It's an RPG, guy. I don't know what you expected.
Compared to many modern day JRPGs, this game is actually lighter on the cutscenes as its a more simple/old-style approach. You've clearly never played a later Persona game or anything like that.

And then we wouldn't get good character animations and direction in scenes?
