Pre-ordered but never installed. Refund and get F1 23 instead?
From what I recall, anyone who bought the game but has never played it is still eligible for a refund, yes? If so, after reading all the complaints and trouble people are having with this game, I'm seriously considering refunding it and getting another F1 game.
I already own and played tons of F1 21, and was thinking about getting F1 '23. Is F1 '23 a good game? Is it better than this and is it more polished? Is the handling(with a wheel) better than this? Let know what I should do guys :)

I would say yes. Refund this and stick with 23. 23 is more polished and the core gameplay is more fun than 24. I've gone back to 23 until 24 gets itself figured out hopefully. (Playing on a rig, not gamepad)

You're eligble if you've played it less than 2 hours and within 14 days after the purchase, beyond that it's up to Steam to allow it or not, since they've no legal obligation past one of those points. It's worth a try though, so feel free to test it.

As for the games, content-wise they don't really differ that much, except for 24 offering the new career mode where you can play an existing driving instead of yourself.

In terms of how the driving feels i like 24 more, especially due to the new handling system. Temperatures are harder to manage now, but it's way less punishing to overheat the tyres as well, so i personally have more fun getting to my limit on this one.

But ultimately you'll find people liking both games, so it's up to you to test it.

Most of bad comments about F1 24 are due to poor handling model of the initial release, now that it has been patched it is in my opinion on par if not even better than F1 24

When the handling got patched, it just went from "undriveable" to "driveable".

DRS trains are still a problem, ERS is unbalanced and broken, dirty air effects are broken, penalties are still broken, track limits still aren't right, cars still have too much grip, AI was never adjusted for the updated tire/handling model and are inconsistent across tracks, race weekend goals don't always complete like they should, drivers are called the wrong names, Portimao has an invisible bump that sends cars flying, race engineers don't change strategy anymore during a race, the game still puts you on dry tires when the race turns to rain...all this among other bugs still present in F1 24.

And to clarify, I'm not a F1 24 hater. I think there's a great game under all the issues. I just think it isn't worth buying in the state it's in right now.

Welp, so much for that lol. Refund declined because yes, like you said, you have two weeks to return the game, otherwise you're ineligible for the refund whether you play the game or not.

Guess I'll have to get used to this damn game lol.
