What is the state of the Two-Player-Career mode?

I have seen some reviews pointing out that there are possibly some problems with the coop career. Have you played the coop career and if you did, did you experience issues or does it work well for you?

My friend and I have noticed a whole lot of issues with the game, especially 2 player coop career, sometimes it would crash when we were loading into the session, sometimes when one of us would go into the pits, connection issues, like we even had to restart a race I believe 6 times and after all that, he had an engine failure hahaha. There have been a lot of other issues we've encountered, but it's hard to recall what happened. Currently my friend and I have discovered a new bug/glitch with the game. My friend and I have just finished season 2 and are trying to advance to season 3 but after we do contract negotiations, we cannot advance time and it shows up as the other person advancing but it's like stuck on the main screen, however I can move around menus. We gave it a break for about a week, restarted our PCs multiple times, reinstalled the game, lowered graphic settings, etc and it still has not fixed this issue. That's why we have stopped playing the game completely until a new patch gets released and this issue gets resolved.

Thank you for your insight. In this state it really sounds like it is better to wait a month or two and then buy it on sale.

Me and my brother had one session in Bahrain, and after that, we could not play as it kept crashing. I would wait.
