I’ll try to add deadzone in controller settings
I play with xbox controller
If you spin under 4th/5th gear especially, then you're probably bottoming out your car way too early, try to raise the ride height a littlebit.
Medium traction is btw not a magical tool to prevent every spin, it just makes sure that slightly exceeding the grip level of a tyre doesn't spin you (especially designed for controllers compensate for their slight inaccuracy), but if you go excessively over the limit, then it is still supposed to spin.
Well, the handling was bugged at release, so not really what you should expect ot be in the game forever.
We have these kind of complains every other week in pretty much every game, so i'm always a littlebit reserved over jumping to conclusions and rather give help. This time it seems like there was something (and note, my comment was posted before i knew about thise), but more often than not, there isn't any kind of adjustment being planned and in this kind of case i rather offer help than doing nothing.
And "this shouldn't happen" is simply not true. If a setup is messed up enough, then it should get worse and worse to give guidance towards what is wrong with it. How are you gonna find the optimal settings, if all you see is perfect balance, no matter what you do?
True im guessing if you played on steering wheel since launch you wouldnt of felt much of a difference and its more grippy than most games. (Not a bad thing)
I have 4 Corner Haptics , Wheels slip on haptics is My only tell tail sign of breaking traction but its super quick which i could imagine would be normal in a F1 car but i cant really say as my haptic system out performs my steering wheel FFB
which is basically what controller users are feeling at the moment with throttle control
Control pad users have been broken in medium Traction settings since the handling update, Theres an Update coming to address a rebalanced to Medium Traction control on control pads On the 8th.
It kinda felt like NO Traction Control on Steering wheel ++ on medium settings
They Obviously tweaked it a bit too much
So i guess hold off doing custom setups to you cars, as its going to change again
No, the update is for Steering wheel and control pad.
who knows its very vague
I only Experience a handling change on control pad medium traction control
Highlights
Rebalanced the Medium Traction Control setting
When driving over kerbs, cars will now be more unsettled, with sausage kerbs in particular having a greater impact on vehicle stability
Fixed an issue in Time Trial where in certain circumstances times set with an F1 car could appear on F2 Leaderboards
Fixed an issue where a specific Specialist Goal could prevent a career save from loading correctly
Pitcrews in Driver Career have received some training so pitstop times have generally been improved
Handling
Having a very high amount of Engine Braking is now less likely to cause the player to lock up their brakes
AI are now less likely to lock up when using a low amount of pressure on their brakes
Tyre pressure adjustments will now have more of an effect on tyre grip and heat
