This is exactly what happened to me last year. I have the entire F1 2010-2023 collection, "full" versions. So I'm loyal! I've pre-odered F1 23 CE as soon as it was announced, but I've paid full price (their suggestion to my ticket: to claim the money back and place another order - wasted time, never did it, I accepted the full price and enjoyed the game). Now I'm ready to pre-order F1 24 CE, through the F1 23 CE game, as suggested in the advertisement, but I get the full price in the list, AGAIN. So... Steam/EA, any advice on this matter? Why would you announce something as working system, BEFORE it is actually implemented?... Not the end of the world, it's a game, this is for fun (not a life investment), but still... a matter of principle... LE: 1 hour later - the thing works... still an improvement from last year!

From the Steam page. You're confusing Pre-Order bonus with previously owned bonus. You don't get a discount if you don't own a previous game - and there is no pre-order discount on the standard edition at all.
