Need advice: Confusing reviews
So, i don't get the reviews.

"The handling is great/bad"

What is the issue? I heard it's better than F23, especially on a Gamepad.

If i only play on the gamepad, can I ignore all the other negative reviews about handling?

The bad/strange handling is less noticeable on controller. The singleplayer racing isn't great either and career AI is bugged.

If you buy for multiplayer then I'd say go for it.

i only use controller so cant say how handling is on wheel but on gamepad its better then 23s handling but its not a massive increase

also the new career mode has a bug that causes the game to crash when doing practice programs said bug can also brick your save

EA knows about the career bug so hopefully it doesnt take them long to fix it

So far i've not really seen anyone explaining it properly, so it's hard to tell.

It definitely feels like there's way more grip than in 23 (i can't really say anything about how realistic that is, because i've not driven a F1 car in RL), so it feels like the muscle memory you've build in 23 makes you turn in way too strong the first few hours. It takes a littlebit time to get used to it, but i wouldn't say that the handling is bad.

Would avoid until it is fixed up. i have 20 hours in and can't continue my career due to a game breaking bug and stuck in practice 3 after it bugged out. Once practice is finished just get a black screen saying please wait and nothing happens so can't continue

It only really feels weird at times on a wheel and pedals, but can be mitigated a lot by setups.

For the most part, the biggest complaint is that it feels much more arcade to drive. I don't really feel strongly about this one way or another, but something seems "off" with the traction. There are videos online of people driving across the grass and actually GAINING time, as well as people launching the cars off all 4 tires, landing at full throttle into a turn, and not even getting a slight amount of wheel spin.

Thx for all the feedback. Just gave it a quick shot myself in a random race with Expert handling settings. Didn't touch anything else, just wanted to see how it feels. Honestly pretty alright.(last F1 game i played was 2020) I feel like the car spins a lot faster but it's also very reactive when correcting in corners. Probably gonna take some time to get used to it but it's definetly snappy. Quite like it. (Tested on a gamepad)

Well according to Lando Norris the handling is the best ever, according to me who has played racing games since Revs (go look up when that was) i tried it for 5 minutes and i think it's a complete arcade style joke....but who you going to trust and believe more?

people like lando are also under contract so its hard to tell when someone like them are telling us the truth or are simply telling us what EA paid him to say

i also really like the handling - i am using a fanatec CSL Elite wheel and for me this game feels like the first official f1 game which is fun to drive and has comprehensive car balance. well, it is not iracing but a MAJOR step into the right direction.

Yeh well none of us knows the handling of an F1 car. Hence why they can sell us what they want. Doesn't rly matter that much to me as it's a video game, not a real-life experience. As long as it's intuitive and fun for gamepads and wheels alike(jack-of-all-trades), i'm fine with it. I did enjoy the racing but ultimately refunded for other reasons. Too many menus, too much BS to click through before getting to the gameplay. I think the MyTeam mode is alright for enthusiasts, but i expected the driver career mode to just be focussed on racing. When i get back from work i just wanna get into the cockpit and drive, not click through upgrade/strat/contract menus. Sadly far from the experience i had with 2019/2020 and even the older ones. Looks like EA didn't really ask for anyone's feedback.

He may have said it's "the best yet" but definitely not the best "ever". All he said was that it felt better and that you could control slides more, which was more realistic. But he didn't say anything about the cars being able to go faster by driving on grass or being able to take sausage curbs full throttle with no impact to traction (which are unrealistic things in any context).

Its EA they just want to make money, not good games, if the game is too hard ppl wont play it (like me ;p until I get a wheel ;p) So they want to make it easier to expand audience. Thats why you should never buy their games, never xD

Its curious tho he didnt have anything to say about sausage rolling then or grass grip ;p Probably just slipped his mind ;p Ya no he is only 20 ;p

He only did a short amount of gameplay since it was just a promo video. It wasn't like he was going to extensively test the game like the playerbase has. My point was to call out that it is untrue that he called anything in the game "the best ever", just so it didn't mislead people.
