Game crashing on driver career

Anyone else having a problem with the game crashing at career mode? tried 4 times and cant even complete the first lap of the training program. I did try 2 5 lap races in f1 world and they didnt crash. (VR. Thrustmaster wheel so no G Hub)

I have had crashing after lap 1 on the practice programs. It always seems to be the tyre wear and fuel programs that do it. Just make sure you create a mid session saves to be safe until there's a patch.

I started career mode, I can't get out of the first free practice, on the fourth or fifth lap the game crashes and closes by itself

I'm also consistently crashing in VR towards the end of my first lap of Bahrain when running the fuel saving practice program. No issues with the track acclimatisation program.

Similar failure on my side - game crashes when doing the ERS testprogram in lap3 in Bahrain.. As far it seems to me that it is even the identical corner.

change resolution to borderless fullscreen and cap fps to 45. then the screen doesnt freeze. when your in the lobby you can change that back. That helped for me

same for me it worked great on first day (prepurchased) but now I can even start my career it really sucks when that was the only good part of the game

It crashes almost everywhere for me... F2 races, F1Races, Time Trials (especially silverstone). I honestly have only been able to complete 1 full race and about 2 time trial laps.

Seems like there is a lot of crashes reported with practice programs right now. I just got hit with them in Suzuka.

This thread on EA's support forms seems to indicate that they are aware of the issue, but as of right now there wasn't any listed ETA on when this would be fixed: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Bug-Reports/Crash-to-Desktop-During-Practice-Programme/td-p/13759683

Really hoping this gets fixed soon, as of right now I really can't continue my career save as it just keeps crashing, and am a little worried if I keep trying I am just going to corrupt my save. Guess I'll just wait it out?

cant load into my career save, game closes during loading screen.

For those who are having the same issue (October 2024). The issue still persists. Game crashes to desktop with no error code or message at the same spot. Every time. Trying to complete practice programme at Monza. Can’t get past the parked safety car after entering the pits. Crashes. At the same spot. Every time.
