Use Scrap of Paper

I have found a scrap of paper with a recipe I don't have, but I can't figure out how to use it. The wiki says to take it in hand, so I put it in my hand. I still have no right click options or any other mechanism I'm seeing to use it to learn the recipe, and it's not in my crafting list. Can anyone tell me? Thanks.

I think the recipes get added automatically into your 'known recipies' tab in the crafting UI.

That's strange because I found scap of paper, and after putting them in my hand, i got the recip. I got nothing more to do than putting them in my hand.

I noticed that we can found scrap paper with no recipe on it, maybe only for crafting fire. Maybe that's why you can't learn recipe ?

I noticed too that I can put scrap paper with recip on my hand and stack them, and I learned all the recipe like this. (before that I was puting paper on my hand, remove it, then put another, but it's waste of time ^^)
