Hacking a bit confusing

I have a program in my laptop but I cant do anything with it. I hack them and turn them on, this lattest one has a program in it next to the battery that says IMC or IMO, but I cant take it out or see what it does when I go to use.
I also have a memory stick, but it doesnt seem to interact with the laptop in any way. It has a program too called 5-MR7. Finally I have a scratched UVD I would like to see what s on it, can you do this?
I have looked at the wiki and read the instructions on hacking that came with the game but its very short.

Ok you have to have the laptop or whatever has the program in it in your hand. From there you can pull out the program and put it into a memory stick or whatever.

Honestly, I'm not positive what the IMC or IMO is, bit I think you might be referring to IMG, which means that file is an image file. If you mouse over it you can "see" what's on the file. If you hold shift then click on the file, you can grab the top file and move it, revealing the file underneath(given there is more than one file). Some of these files are worth over $1000, so you'll want to set them aside in a memory stick or something for easy selling.

The file in your memory stick is the smartphone hacking software. To put it in the laptop for use, put the laptop(open and on) in one hand, and put the memory stick in the other. Then you simply place the software in the stick in to the laptop. Now when you find a locked phone, you can "use" the laptop when it's turned on to hack and unlock the phone, revealing the files inside, given you have enough energy in the battery.

As far as I know, you can't view the UVDs.

edit: Seems you figured it out as I was typing, lol. Good job, and good luck with the hacking. It can come in really handy in certain scenarios. Try to get your hands on some spoofing software!

Also, as someone mentioned, there is no IMC files, but there are IMGs which may be worth quite a bit sometimes. Those aren't used for anything else, other than as bartering material and lore sources, so feel free to sell them if you wish.

Like I have no idea...

I have 4 memory sticks atm and they have...

2 green: LAMP and RF1:D
1 orange: Br1nG
1 purple: GPS

I took just the hacking skill and have "hacked" a laptop. When i have it on and in my hand i can see that i have VIDx8 but anytime i drag it, it just pings straight back.

I bought a tablet and phone, both locked and im unabl eto do anything with any of hte above items.

Please help as I feel this is a fun area that im just not gettng

Its been a while since I played but if I remember correctly to pull a file out of a device you have to have it in your hand and transfering to another device. To unlock a phone you have to have the correct program, it should come up as an option when you 'use' your laptop. The GPS is a good program to have and Br1nG in one of the unlocking programs if I remember correctly.
