NEO Scavenger

NEO Scavenger

How to craft in bulk (if possible)?
With a metal pot and enough water you can make sterilized water x3. So is there a way to have a similar recipe for ranged weapons. Having to make each and every one individually becomes rather tedious and takes away from the game. Much like manually sifting through every last crafting ingredient to make sure that it's high enough condition to be viable.

You WANT to craft all your arrows individually. If there's a way to turn out an arrow below 100% the crafting screen will auto use it. Destroy every shard you find, and just use broken bottles to make 100% shards. Check every branch to make sure it's 100%. So far I haven't found any substandard thread or paper strips, but this, too, could change.

One thing I added to help with this is the "clear" button when you finish crafting. If you have enough ingredients for multiple batches in the top window, you should be able to spam the "confirm/clear" button to cycle through all of them rapidly.

Of course, this still requires the user to place items in the top manually. And if the recipe is one of the alternates requiring an arrow press, you'll have to switch each time.

I also made spacebar the hotkey for confirm/craft, so you could click the quick recipe and spacebar in rapid succession, if that works.

The x2 and x3 versions of the recipes were an older way to solve this problem, but have issues of their own. Namely, they clutter up the quick recipe list, and require each recipe be manually created (by me) in duplicate and/or triplicate. It's doable, of course, it just slows down development.

Let me know if any of the above helps!

What's this about an arrow press? Are we going to be able to construct non crude, regular broadhead arrows? I've been using the clear key since it was introduced, but I still check every arrow before I build it. In spite of my preaching about destroying random shards, every once in awhile some sneak in. Sub 100% branches still show up (usually at the bottom of the pile).

Thanks for your post Daniel. I'll just spend a class crafting arrows and be good for days xD Also, keep up the good work I appreciated getting to try the demo before I decided to go all in :)
