So, about this Hot Brick...

Is anyone familiar with the specifics on what harm it can cause and how? Holding it in hand grants a condition, which apparently warms you but causes some kind of radiation sickness in the long term (according to the wiki). But does the radiation only occur if the brick is held in hand for a long time? If so, how long? Can it be stored in a backpack or vehicle safely? If it's dropped on the ground, will it eventually cause harm by just standing in the same hex with it? The wiki doesn't make its effects very clear.

For now, I plan to just leave it in a campsite near the ATN, so I can pop by and recharge stuff when I'm in the area. But if there's a safe way to transport it, I'd love to hear about it.
