Do repaired Cryo facility lights attract attention? (any good as a base)

If you are able to fix the lights, can you turn them off/on and will they attract attention like campfires?

Seems like they would, but I wonder if the repaired light is just in the room where you camp out, or does it include external building lighting? It could be either or both, but without more clarification it leaves the question.

As an additional question, what is your opinion on using it as a base? The concealment isn't bad or great, and you'd think it may provide better rest and healing since it's an actual decently intact structure?

Looking at it from a gameplay perspective it seems like it may be meant more for new players than when you get comfortable with the game.. If you're not freezing, would you suggest going somewhere else?

um as far as i know there is no base like it, just run down buldings. not to mention if you set up a few noise traps your base becomes basicly invinsible, as long as you can fight confidently

I've been covering my tracks when nearby, but I'm kinda wondering the chance of stuff getting stolen when I'm not there.

the cryo facility isnt really a good place for new players to stay, the area is rather thick with wild dogs which are a fairly reasonable threat even to equipped players. i suggest moving southeastish (right-down) and try to get to DMC.

its a bit of a journey, you may or may not make it, but the area around DMC is much safer provided you dont provoke the guards (when encountered, they should accept offers to talk or ceasefire, as well as offer same to you.)

you can make purified water and/or tannin tea to sell at the junk market, its rather boring, but safe way to grind money. get equipped at the junk market, eat at the canteen, and sleep near the fire barrels to maintain your stats.

also stay out of the black swamp area at the bottom of the map, just traveling though it can give you 'defoliant exposure' which causes all kinds of problems, and is uncurable.

lighting does make it harder to hide.

Yeah, I think the concealment rating when down a little bit. Something like 15%.
