Idea for long-term motivation

I've come up with an idea that might lead to better motivation.

I'd like to find a deeper purpose for continuing to play the game even after completing all the story quests.

not a huge fan of the ranking system, I can afford to play a lot everyday so I would have an advantage

Yes, ok, I can understand, it doesn't have to be a competition, but rather something like a season pass that leads to unique things?

yes it could be awesome, or what if you become the big boss and can finally escape, but you decide to keep this "job" and start buying a house, many possibilities
