money counting is not counting correctly
i have gone through many hours of this game so far and while it is very fun it is very broken. my issue right now is that i have used the money counter to count out 180,000 and when i put it in a box it has checks on all boxes for the quest. i scan it and it says 180,000. the issue is that while it says i have enough and that everything is checked it told me i had only 99.8 percent of what i needed. something is broken with the counting system in this game. the only solution i have currently is after scanning it and knowing my count is right, if it says im low i have to give them more than i should have to just so the quest says its right...

The mission probably said no marked and/or counterfit bills and you gave them marked and/or counterfit bills.

i scanned it with the phone before sending it out and everything came back as good. if it did have those with it the phone would have flagged it as wrong and not checked it off unless that also is bugged.

At the top, the scanner shows the quantity and decomposition of scanned bills by literal value and obvious condition (wet, dirty,...), nothing else, independently of quests.
For the quest part your scan checked ok because each criteria was validated, meaning you had some valid bills in your package but the 99.8% on the "provided value" bar means that not enough valid bills are in the package for the required money amount. This is hint there are fake or marked bills in the package.
You just need to learn how to read the scan result... And to actually check for counterfeit/marked bills when the quest mentions them.

well i have read it and taken out the whole thing and replaced the bills with all new ones and the same thing happens. even when i purposely put in a marked bill the scanner doesnt even pick it up so the whole scanner and counting system is bugged but i know most would like to just tell me that i dont know how to read what the game clearly is telling the player. the game couldnt possibly have a bug being only 13 days old.... just so people know this isnt the only order that has been counted wrong. the game actively has an issue with counting things correctly and there are tons of other comments that will back that up.
I will add, that I have had one similar issue (but I think it was a couple updates ago, so haven't seen it since), but there was an issue where I had 100 bills in a stack, but the scanner wasn't counting all 100, so I opened the stack and recounted, and sure enough it was missing some bills, like they just up and disappeared, no idea what happened there, and it happen 3 total times I was somewhere in the 40ish hours of playing, and level 30's somewhere when this started to happen. since starting a new game after the updates, I haven't had the issue again, but I question if my save was corrupted or I hit a limit in how much my game could process at all once. the piles were starting to get out of control and started to lag my game (I've even tried to put everything away in storage containers with them closed, but it didn't stop the random lagging while processing counting out stuff so it could literally be either case of corruption of the save, maybe saved mid process and when I logged back in, those stacks were bugged, or it just too much to process on my laptop). So I can say, there has been a different counting issue. If I come across it again, I'll try to update. But I just assume of coarse the game is brand new and expected to have a bunch of patches, so I didn't say anything until now.
Please try to put in two bills, one legit, as the task expects it, and one being counterfit or marked (double double check it manually with a manual uv lamp for both bills) as the task excludes it and then try to read the scan after each bill. The percentage should only change once, while the Nummer of bills should be counting both of them.

Let's stop the guess work.

What were the quest criteria?
What bills did you prepare? Have you checked 200% for counterfeit/marked?
What was the scan result?
What was the delivery result?

If you are not this accurate in your experiment then you can't tell if it is a bug or not.

my method has been pretty sound. i start by washing and drying no matter what at my stage just to get rid of the straps on the bills quickly and i will know its not dirty or wet after so that process is just an easy 3 problem knock out. after i use the uv and go through them on the floor to check marked bills. i sometimes go through like 2 or 3 times to be sure i havent missed any. after i use the last money counter with the 3 sorted slots which rids out counterfeits. so no matter what the mission is i have all issues taken care of and sorted out. all i have to do from there is simply get them the case they want and the bills they need. i do this with every bill and currency. the bug doesnt happen every order. just one in like 10 quests or so. basically every time i get all new orders. since the game keeps telling me im short after double counting the stacks which i always make sure are 100 in a stack every time i have started using the phone to scan it and it says im short even though i know i have more than enough and have rid it of any issue i could have. i tested to see if it was just those bills and got a fresh stack and it still said it was short by like only like 50 bucks but its enough to not meet the goal. a few of my friends have also been having the same issue so its not just me.
There is your root problem, your piles are to big after washing, because is will break the bands.
One hand full of money (while pressing “f”) are 300 bills. When you drop them down to scan with UV, you will never be able to ever see every single marked bill.

But if you only check the loose bills from a “no marked bills” or better any mission, one by one, you will be much more likely to to not contaminate your stacks with marks.

The fact that you get this issue with about one mission in ten, and I bet you you only get this error with missions excluding marked bills, tells me that you have marked bills in you “clean” money.

Since I check loose bills manually I don’t have any issues with the counting algorithm in the game.

It was 99.8%. Put another 200 bucks on the belt and move on with your life. Damn son.

when i wash them and take them out i put them in a pile yes but then i take 100 bills so 1 stack and comb through it 1 at a time. any i find i put on a pallet away from any other bill so there is no mistake.
I have a similar problem at the moment. I have to give away 140k€ in a sportsbag. No tinted marked bills. I checked every Bill with UV-Light and there are no marks. I put a 50€ stack in the bag and it says: 3,571% ofthe goal. It should say 3,5% (5k of 140K). Some stacks show the right amount. But when I open the stacks and double check, there are no marks. It's so frustrating to hand-check all these stacks and find nothing. I will end up with adding more money so I can end this limited deal, but this can't be right.
5k/140k = 0.0357142... -> 3.57142 %
I don't see any error here.
Yes Psysop, you're right. The thing with the right amount was a failure of me.
But then in the other stack (that says 3,5%) should be a marked bill (Bill with ink). But there is none. That's the Issue.
The camera cannot accurately reflect the markings, but the percentages can. I usually put the same amount of money in different boxes and check which group has the lowest percentage.
