how to make the workbench better
so i like the idea of the workbench, having a centralized, upgradable area where you can do literally everything you could want to do to any bill. it seems neat.

the issue is how godawful slow doing ANYTHING on the workbench is.

my solution:
automation upgrades.

upgraded versions of the tools that will automatically apply the needed effects to all bills currently in the workbench.

automatied cleaner, that plays maybe a little animation where it zips across the workbench surface, spraying soapy bubbles and water as it goes, and leaving all bills on the table clean, even of ink, but wet.

auto dryer that quickly slides over the table blowing hot air to dry all bills in the table.

auto sorter, money gets all sucked in then quickly sprayed out, landing in neat stacked piles by denomination, or by type of mark/counterfeit depending on the sorter setting and if the blacklight version automation upgrade as been purchased. these stacks are not capped at 100 bills, but if you pick one up or use tape on it you will only grab a 100 stack from it.

auto taper, used on a stack of bills (like the ones from the sorter) will roll down the side printing out tape labels, leaving the stack all taped into 100 bill stacks. with the excess either not being taped, or taped into a less than 100 stack depending on a setting you can toggle on the taper.

auto slicer, slides over the entire surface and snips every single money tape currently on the table.

im basically imagining like a mechanical arm with whatever tool attached sliding across the table left to right, just playing a relevant animation. like some industrial cutter/printer arm that goes across the work surface.

i would use the workbench a heck of a lot if i could drop a wad of cash in, then pres a button to quickly wash, another to dry, sort, tape and store all the cash on it in the bin under the workbench.

for balance make all the upgrades quite expensive, but better time wise to the big machine counter parts. so you can invest the cash to either have a lot more steps to do manually but get it done quicker and more efficiently, with the added bonus actions of ink cleaning and mark sorting. or just go with the cheaper, slower option, that does things in big bulk piles.

!!This!! I literally rage deleted a save because I accidentally got ink on millions of bills...like I didn't realize I had accidentally opened an inked bag instead of cut ugh. Definitely could have the attachement priced at like 20k, but it makes your little gadgets automated. Most of all, I feel like this would be a great upgrade opportunity for the marked bills. There's already a couple different varieties. It would be cool if that machine (near end game on the timeline) made you have to sort and pack a variety of marked bills BUT the workbench could be programmed/upgraded to sort them with an 'attachement part" like the XXL sorter that can be changed denominations BUT it ONLY sorts UV marks (not denominations) so you still have to go back in and sort into whatever amounts you want it to be. Make it expensive like....even upwards of 50-100k to make you really have to grind for it or something. These are the only parts that aren't really enjoyable for me tbh. Way faster to sort on the ground by the stationary UV by holding right click and pressing x to fan singles out on the ground. I basically just use it to store my prepared bills for orders atp lol.
