Need better method to sort / pick out Marked bills.
I'm not even talking about some automated machine although that might be nice late game.

What I'm referring to is something as easy as taking a stack of 100 bills giving us the option to properly fan them out on a surface, this would allow us to see a good portion of the face of the bill and we then can go through and pick out the marked bills.

Currently there are mechanics of the game that make other things easier making sorting through bills tougher. For example when large amounts of loose bills get too close they merge into a single pile and currently one of the best methods I've found to sort the money is pick up a stack of 100 then drop them singularly one by one into it's own pile / box.

This is still far too tedious for how often marked bills appear in some of the jobs.

there is a workbench for this purpose, it sounds like your not that far ahead yet...

anything above 100 will merge

I have said workbench but have not seen this assistance or tool. can you explain a few steps or do we literally drag and drop individual bills.....?

The way I've tried, after buying the UV light attachment (If you don't have the upgrades, they're in the store, there will be a workbench icon in the corner of the items image) for the workbench is using the two bins to separate them. There's a hotkey for each bin which makes it a bit faster but it's pretty much clicking on the marked bills so they go in recycle, switching to the unmarked for the other bin then grabbing the bills from the bin, the issue is the bills are often overlapping and I almost always end up clicking a wrong bill.

I tried stacking them by hand, both on the work bench and on the ground by dropping singles in a circle... but that got annoying, but I was able to be far more accurate, and could quickly correct any mistakes.

I'm hoping for a machine that will sort marked bills from unmarked. We can still make use of the workbench for sorting the different marks.

drop a full load of bills into the machine...
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480656566

then enter the machine and lean inwards
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480656745

toggle the UV light on
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480657127

once you can see what your dealing with make space and place a single bill or each type (clean, gang FDI police etc) like this
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480657552

then drop every corresponding bill/marker type to that original location and create stacks
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480657681

once done place the gang to the left storage, the FDI to the right and then use the escape out of machine and grab all on counter top for the clean or which ever (or) if you prefer you can toggle Z/X and click your way through the pile

That is way to slow and tedious a way to do it. If you mess up one time, you have to empty the entire bin and start again to look for the bill.

My recommendation is too just drop a pile of bills on the floor. Hold left click to grab a neat stack out. Hit E to put the stack on the table. Organise stack(s) and drag them into clean and marked piles. Get off table and then grab the stack off.

You obviously need the dark light workbench attachment to do this.

I have long completed the game and can tell you that you do not need that many marked bills for any of the missions. One stack of each of the different marked bills should be enough. There may be one or two missions that ask for a bigger quantity but not really an issue. The mission will probably also give you marked bills to work with.

i have about half a mill in the piggyback, and i just noticed this because a quest was saying 95% even though i had the money. this whole time i thought counterfeit and marked were being sorted by the machine. no wonder nothing is going anywhere. this sucks, because i bet most is in that piggy.

I did both of these and so far dropping it on the table and sorting is faster cause there are moments where you can hold to collect rapidly instead of having to click on every single bill in the workbench. My idea is give the workbench an apparatus that holds a stack up and you left and right click respectably to move the bills to either side of the holder. That or give the money gun a preview of what the next bill to shoot so you can aim it at different pallets
About the workbench, it can be done reasonably quickly and easy. Have a money counter divide them into 50 stacks instead of 100 stacks. Throw the 50 stack into the workshop at night time, pop the UV. Anything marked visible? Throw it in the saving bin. Then pick up all the checked money, and instantly put it in the workshop again. This will shuffle it. Maybe you see nothing, maybe you see another marked bill that was below the others. Repeat the taking out and putting back in until you're confident it's done. 4-5 goes can be done in less than 15 seconds unless there are a bunch of marked bills.

Once you're certain there's no more marked bills, throw the clean money into a box. Throw the marked money from the storage bin under the desk into your marked money box.
What button to use the UV on the workbench?

left shift (have to purchase it from store first) anything with like a little square like icon is a tool for the workbench just buy them all very cheap

So the solution I have found works best for me is having my setup in the warehouse on the raised part of the sides that goes behind the wall Shutters are closed so good light for about 3/4 of the day instead of only 1/2.
Got a table and UV standing lamp next to it.
I get stacks of 100 bills and drop them on the table (not throw) so the un-compress and fall over this allows me to see if there are any marked in a stack fast.
If there are is where it gets fun and still tedious.
I will try to figure out which is the greater amount (Marked or unmarked) and start a pile of the greater in my hand and when I come across the other I store the stack and move the other into it's own pile on the table before pulling the initial stack out.

As to the suggestion of the work bench, just no, it's not worth it.
In fact the devs should choose if they want to buff the workbench or just get rid of it completely.
-sucks for sorting
-waste of time to remove ink (way too much work for the effort put in)

As to how I deal with my inked bills, I just got another XXL counter and only use it for inked bills then use them for jobs that don't care about it.

For the most part the game is fun but it is very evident the devs have not got end game in mind in this current build.
Far too many things it asks and all take the player to be completely hands on for it.

One thing the game definitely needs is a dark area regardless of time of day.
Ether give us some kind of closet or let us buy a tent / shelter that is a darkroom so we can check for marked bills far easier.

I have quite a list of things already that I feel should be changed or implemented / added.
Some it looks like it might be in the process such as the industrial washing machine (Upper area out of order)

The devs I feel have got a bit too hard on tedium and while I'm fine with that at first it should open up to ways for it to be done with greater ease latter on.
I found the workbench the best way but its still tedious.
Drop a pile in. Hit shift for UV. MMB to get a top down view. Spacebar and scroll out I found was a great zoom level.
Hit X, click on good bills until there are a lot of marked bills, hit Z click the marked ones until its mainly good bills, repeat until your pile is done.
Add another pile.

I'd still prefer a sorter of some sort. The ink cleaning and marked bill checking really make the game work instead of fun.

i think once the current yellow quests are completed in the game at this current stage having things how they are exactly right now is okay, but after that and going forward the game should introduce a machine to sort marked notes into piles...

mainly because whilst im okay with things at this point i think going forward i will burn out its starting to get really boring now. ive had five jobs with a lot of mixed marks sometimes im trying to divide (clean/gang/police/FDI) bank notes in the same 100 batch

so yea going forward automation for this

What i do is
i take the pile to an open spot, and take stacks of 100.
then i crouch down and i drop my bills holding the (x) button to drop them 1 by 1.
you spin yourself in a circle slowly making a bill circle.
all you do then is put the UV in the middle of it and easy picking for marked bills.

it works very well for me it saves allot of time.
Take money gun > fill with money > SPRAYYYYYYYYYYYYY > UV light ON > go around pick up the marked bills

Obviously, you spray in 1 area, it will turn into a money pile, but the map is massive. I like to use the big delivery circle personally, couple of well placed UV lights (either kind).
