I have finished the counterfeit quest finally after realizing how i could spot gang marked bills. However the only gold quest i have now is the one where i need 100 gold ingots. I have read that the gold ingots are inside the vault but i have no idea how to open the vault and i can't find any information about it. I'm already level 35 (reputation score) and i have all spaces open. Also the screen i attached at the top platform doesn't do anything, it just sparks, any idea what i'm doing wrong?

I got a text message that said something about "your tank almost killed me" but I didn't see a tank so I'm wondering if it's a bug? I had some weirdness with texts/timings anyway with things I played on the demo showing up in the text messages already completed (though the jobs did reset appropriately)

Check and answer all messages on the cellphone

It appears that it was some sort of bug. I definitely had no text messages to answer, but when I relaunched the game, 2 new conversations started.

.... It would have been nice if they had not given me the option to do so then. I'm okay with starting the game over at 10 hours, but it IS annoying and needs to be fixed because I know many people WOULD NOT be okay with doing so.

Before you do that, try to restart your game. It fixed everything for me and I have the safe now.

I got that mission requiring me to send 100 gold ingots, I am pretty sure it was a level 10 mission. I was confused so ended up here and another website, saying that the vault opens at around level 25... So now I am confused why would we get this mission at level 10, it's just going to sit there and the heaps of money that this quest provides to clean up.

Website also says that some players were able to unlock the Vault sooner by depositing money into the pigy bank, some unlocked it by "sitting in a chair for 10 seconds", there's no concrete answer, I wish the game was a bit more clear and din't give you quests you can't complete yet or have a clear goal to complete it. Oh well

I had the same issue but the exact moment I reached level 21 there was a sound of a helicopter, the wall exploded and the vault opened, I'm guessing as a result of something the helo dropped.

it doesnt open at around lvl 25, I had it open at around lvl 16 or 20 actually. Just focus on the main missions and eventually it will open. Also my unlock progress was I focused on xxl counter, then I unlocked the upstairs area, at some point when I was doing main missions the vault opened in the middle of a night which also scared the living crap out of me
Edit: I read the original post again and missed some things. Not sure why the vault wouldnt be opening. Maybe its bugged somehow

On day/night 25, my save crashed into the building, at level 24. I was just writing a bug report and switched back into the game... so maybe those days are the trigger.

I don't believe it's level based but it's based on the amount in the piggy bank. After waiting a few days and nothing happening, I filled the piggy bank to about $550000 and the next in-game day had the vault dropped in. I'm level 31 in the game and hadn't been prioritising the piggy bank, I've just been saving up stacks of cash on the sidelines to make jobs easier and my original intention to do the piggy bank all in one go once I saved up enough. So I think it's based on getting the piggy bank filled to $500k. It may possibly take your level into account too but further testing is required or the dev's to let players know to know for sure.

The only money I've put in the piggy bank was the one required by the tutorial mission so that's definitely not a condition for opening the vault.
