TIPS for those struggling with MARKED bills

Any task that says "NO MARKED BILLS" with arrive with some marked:
1 - They are LOOSE bills only,
EDIT - Grab stacks of 100 from the loose cash that arrived - and sitting in front of your UV lights - hold right click and then hold X while moving your mouse to fan out the cash. Then you can quickly grab the marked and mass gather the remaining. This has been the hands down fastest method of spotting marked cash. (See image below)

2- The strapped bills you can gather as well into stacks of 30 in your hands and can check the sides by rotating near the black light (confirmed this won't show marked bills BUT i have NEVER found a marked bill arrive in the prestrapped stacks) - BUT i have not run into ANY MARKED bills that are BANDED from the initial drop, it's usually all contained within the loose cash on top.

SEPARATE the marked bills into different large boxes:

FAT X
THE HALF BILL SQUARE LOOKING TRIANGLE X
THE EYE (FDI)
The Generic red X across entire bill (police)
Gang markings in separate missions (drops)
BLOOD splatter

The work bench will just slow you down.

Put banded money in washer first (faster then separating each band individually)
Gather loose money from washer in one giant pile ( right click and gather blob to get max pile)

Then dry.

Only do marked bills at NIGHT with lights off (ofc).

Taking a stack of 100 and surround yourself with a few UV standing lights - spam while moving the mouse and create several spread out rows around yourself by holding X
Seems to be the fastest way yet. Then you just grab the marked bills and mass pick up the rest.

Just sit and fan out money moving mouse around and it's fastest way to snag the marked bills i've come across yet.

Thanks. Because this is my pain in the butt game mechanic. I hope they consider a black out room or a curtain to put on the workbench to help the process even further. I don't want it handed to me, I'll work for it, but a little extra for the marked bills would be greatly appreciated.

i want to add if u use the second counter the large one with bunny ears u can put it next to the uv lamp and have it count and pack while u look at the bills. you can see them marked while the machine counts and sorts them.

Do we know what bills can be marked? i only seen american hundreds and only legit bills marked.

This is some neat tips. Still annoys me to no end that UV is useless during the day. Just patch in a few wooden planks covering up the daylight in the main room.

Finally someone says what the FDI symbol actually is, been stuck on the 500 FDI bills mission for a while cuz I didn't want to brute force it and just send all marked bills.

Yen, dollar, and euros can all be marked with various markings listed above.

I found having the neon lights on doesn't hinder the UV inspections, and in fact the neon lights seem to act as a weak UV light which helps with spotting legit bills. So sure, turn off all the spotlights and turn the daylight switches off, but I recommend leaving the neon lights on.

As for the process tips, am I the only one using the money from previous missions to complete my current mission? By the time I take a mission I already know if I have the needed bills in my stash (which I usually do), so whatever bills the current mission provides up front, just gets processed into my growing inventory after I've already turned in the mission. But I'm only a few hours into the game -- maybe it gets trickier later on.

If you put strapped cash on the workbench, you can pull out the knife and click all the cash stacks, you can then pull out piles of cash. This will save you time washing and drying clean money.

If you sort marked cash in stacks of 100, put them in the workbench, turn on UV, then press z and click on the marked cash. They will enter into the trash bucket and you can pull out the cash and place again to get the remaining. Rinse and repeat, you will sort through mark cash with ease.

I would consider doing that if i could move the workbench closer to the drop point

The text messages for that specific quest sends you pictures of what the FDI symbol looks like.

ngl I just pick up 100 bills at a time and drop them. Maybe give them a toss with T to spread them out a little. Pick out all the marked ones. Then when I pick them back up by holding left click I just keep an eye on whats getting picked up, if I miss a marked one I just put that one back down with X.

u know u can also grab 100 and just spam hold X to drop singles while spreading them out in a fan.. works decent i guess

Strapped bundles of cash don't show the marks under UV (at least they don't for the bundles of marked notes that I have created), so holding them up to the UV light is misleading to assume they never have marked bills inside them.
