What's the best way to deal with counterfiet money?

Like the title says, how are you all running through thousands upon thousands of bills trying to catch marked bills? Kinda sucks being on all four on the floor and manually running picking up bill after bill from a stack to find that single marked bill and discard it to a separate pile.

Something along the line of a money counter really should have an option to check for marked bills, as manually sorting 20 000 bills under a UV flashlight is really not my idea of fun.

Any creative ideas, or am I just doing it wrong?

My setup is like this:
UV lamp in front of my table,
pile of unchecked cash on my left
verified clean cash in a cart on my right
I grab a stack from the pile by holding LMB and drop it on the table, from there it's pretty easy to see if any bills are marked from the side, and you can see it a little better if you just hold down LMB and watch carefully as they're picked up

Another thing to keep in mind, marked bills are usually grouped with eachother, for example, I once received a few bundles of 50s and 100s, all of the 50s were fine, and all of the stacks of 100s had some counterfeits. The same rule applies to loose cash.

Make sure you look through them with the lights off and ideally when it's dark out, the markings will be super bright and easy to see. To be honest I was wondering the same thing when it comes to making the process faster, but doing it this way isn't too bad.

Based on BlueJay's method i've came up with a even more efficient method imho.
I called it "The solitaire method" since it reminds me how you'd fast-stack cards in the solitaire card game when you made all the straights... :D

Make stacks of money in about 26 and place them on the table - point is, that the stack does not fall to the side and have a UV light on the table. Now start grabbing the same type (counterfit - doesn't glow at all or legit - have glowy marks) from each decks until all decks stays at the oposit of what you have in hand. Drop your hand to the output split pile as you wish, and repeat.

Aren't "counterfeit money" and "marked bills" two different things? So far I think all the marked bills I've seen were legit, not counterfeit.

As for how to deal with them, I just grab a stack of 100 of the same bill out of the sorter and then stand in front of the UV light with the stack in hand. The stack always shows the top bill which is the one you drop when use the 'drop a single bill' button (or whatever it's called), so I just drop the bills one at a time into one of several piles: one each for legit (unmarked), counterfeit, and a pile for each of the markings.
