The Panther Quest Bug

In this quest The Panther asked me to provide in a XXL Cardbox $8.000 in counterfeit and/or gank marked bills (any value bill) wrapped in plastic.

The issue is I got the money as asked (the scanner confirmed) but as soon as i wrap them in plastic the scanner and the delivery tape doesn't recognize the bills as counterfeit/marked anymore. So i can't proceed.

Anyone else?

I was tackling this quest yesterday and anoyed as hell by it due of the tedious process to sort marked notes. Based on the scanner the stacks and wrap in total had a value of 8,010$ (didn´t wanted to sort all over again just for the exact value in this mission) and put everything in the XXL box to send it away but for some weird reason the mission only counted 310$.

Considering how tedious it was already to sort the notes i don´t want to go all over it again and now just hope that the devs will implement some sort of "marked note" counter that sorts the normal notes from marked ones or give the table an QoL feature where we can put in the notes and then let it sort them for us.

Not sure if i simply want to restart my file as i guess it will take ages to get all the marked notes to send them again and in hope it will not eat a bunch of the notes.

its wants the bills with the red X on them, or the ones that dont glow at all, i to have run into this, just having to resort all my money again to find all the X's wish there was a machine that helped us sort it.
im guessing if enough of us ask they will come up with something.

How did u know to get only the red X ones? I have different symbols, it'd help to know every red symbols meaning.

This is honestly so confusing. It doesn't seem to recognise the "X" marked money, only the ones with the square marks on it I think.

I did a little testing yesterday with this too.
Had 8k money, all were marked for sure (with X, the eye and square symbol). But only 2900 was counted for the quest when ive send it out for delivery.

Ive put only 8k of bills with the eye in a box. The scanner said it was not marked moeny.

Then ive put like 5k of bills with an X on it in a box. Same result as the eye bills so no marked bills with the scanner checked

So i tried the ones with a square on it. Those do show up as marked with the scanner.
However..... I had 8k of them in the box. And the scanner only showed i provided like 3-4% of the asked money

So this quest is def bugged

X (from corner to corner) is "normal" marked bills. You need gang-marked bills, those are other symbols. Check your messages with Panther to see a picture.

I think I found the problem. 90% of the bills I got were marked with a red eye, but under the scanner those don't register as marked. Only the other symbols. That's why only such a small amount counts towards the goal.

I processed almost all marked bills and I'm at $550 / $8.000 (7%)

If this is the case, i guess i just drop in a bunch of marked money and see where it leads me. Finding out you have to sort even more because the quest is still not complete makes this very annoying to deal with in the first place. And seeing only the squared bills actually count as marked with the scanner, but dont always count for the quest when you send a box out.

It is really a quest you dont wanna deal with how it is now

He accepts any counterfeit/marked bills. I used counterfeit/marked yen bills (whatever the T2 money sorter spit out of the side when sorting.) and just gave him $8,000 dollars (legit cash) on top of it inside the XXL box and he accepted it.

If only we had a money counter that sorts the marked from the unmarked. The ones we have can sort out counterfeit money, so why not marked money?

Interesting, maybe we're speaking of different quests? I have "Blacklight Evidence" and it demands specifically dollar bills. I had to sort out all foreign currencies (only € here) out. Also I haven't even encounter Yen in the game, so maybe you're somewhere further along.

I've processed now 100% of the marked money the quest gave me and only have 8% completition.

i also have a problem with this quest. not everything was counted when i sent it to go and now i have the problem that i can't wrap anything in the foil anymore. Even when I buy new foil I can't wrap any more bundles of money in it. does anyone have any tips?

Ohh thanks! Im gonna try that now. Got plenty of Yen from the vases quest i got no use for so far.

Edit:
Tried the Yen bills, but the belt show them as red because its the wrong valuta. So this didnt work for me. Eventually i did finish the quest with alot (way over 8k) of the squared marked bills

ANY $ bill thats left over from other quests, goes in plastic and in a xxl box, at some point it will be done lol.. at 27% now
