Purpose of workbench!?
Hi all,
Other than removing the ink, is there anything that has to be done in workbench that cannot be done on a regular table or even on the floor?

If the ink is the only reason to use the workbench and since I use a knife to open the bag to avoid ink, then it becomes obsolete, no?

I tried using the work bench maybe ten different times for mostly finding marked bills, and now I forget it's there.

It needs a little love in future updates, but for now you can just sit on the floor and throw the money on the floor easier, lol.

I actually find the workbench to be faster. Buy de UV light upgrade, throw either a 100 stack or a ball of money at it, enter it and activate uv light. Then you can use the shortcuts for trash and stash (Z and X) to quickly change the bill is sent to when clicking. I use trash for marked bills and stash for clean ones. Select trash and clic on the visible marked bills, switch to stash (X) and clic on the clean ones, and repeat. No need to drag each bill, just clic with the trash/stash tool enabled.

When you finish, exit the workbench and press F and clic on one of the bins below the workbench, and you will pick the bills you put into that bin earlier.

You can also separate bill with each mark easily. One marks goes to trash, the other get piled up on the workbench surface (clic and drag a bill and drop in top of another with the same mark, right clic to quicly disable tool in use and be able to pick bills and move them). When you are finished, empty the stash of clean bills, empty the trash, quicly go into the workbench, send one of the marked stacks to trash, another one to stash, and you can pick them outside of the workbench and store them in separate boxes or whatever.

It would be nice to have another type of sorter that detects marks and separates them, even if it does not filter them by marks, only marked and not marked would be nice, then you can use the workbench to separate only the marks.

you can use the workbench to sort money into piles, it can be used to cut bundles open, sort our marked bills, even general sorting into currency types, it can be used to package and bundle money.

it basically is a option to do pretty much anything
Imo there should be some sort of automation upgrade for the workbench that maybe costs 100.000 crypto but when purchased we simply can throw a pile of money in it and the bench starts to sort the bills by value; marked and marked value so we can do other stuff in the meantime. Could maybe take up to 5 mins to go through a pile of 300 bills

For me the workbench is to much of a game flow breaker as it takes 5-10 mins to go through a pile of cash. I tried also to use the bins but 1 missclick and you could easily send a marked/non-marked bill into the wrong bin and then have to go through that pile of cash again just to get this 1 single wrong bill sorted out.

Atm i absolutely don´t care about the workbench or sorting marked bills out with the current mechanics in place.
So what I hear is we don't really need a workbench since all of the things are done on it can be done on a regular table or the floor.
Thank you guys!

You need it for inked bills - the ones that get marked from being in a bank bag that gets opened from the top (although there are some bills that come to you dirty and inked from a quest). That's the only thing it does that you can't do anywhere else.

That said, I did find it easier to use for sorted out marked bills en masse. When there might be a handful of unmarked (or marked) bills in a stack of a hundred bills, I find it easier to use the workbench instead of any other method that other have described.
