If I remember right there was a post that did say that the scanner tells you that even only 1 bill is unmarked but all others are marked ones in the bound stack, the scanner says that they are all okay.
You play the way you wanne play it.
I can only tell you how I do it:
-I wash every incomming money
(while in the dryer, some people check with a UV light if they see marked bills)
-I check all the notes, my focus is on red markings and art
(art bills count as real money and will not fall aside like fake money)
-all billes now checked, I put them into the counter to auto filter for fake money
-I take purple jobs I know I have the already counted cash for
-if cash runs out I start all over again
You can check 3 pallets by hand easy every night with only 1 big and 1 small UV light.
This way I can do lots of the timed ones without any struggle and you dont have to take every purple job (they will show up later again).
No need to rush, start enjoying the game.
