Game crashes - UE Fatal error
So I just got this and it crashes all the time. Not sure if its a Nvidia drivers or something else is going on. I only get a pop up saying UE Fatal Error and the only option to click ok. Which then closes the game and there is no save file. Anyone know a way to work around this? Or at least a wait to see why it is crashing so often?

Same error here. Doesn't matter settings, still happens. Haven't been able to jam in days.

So the game was working and then stopped or has it been crashing since you purchased the game? I am curious because if its been buggy the whole time, there is still time to refund it in my case. - Thanks!
Main save is about thirty hours. I can load and do something for varying amounts of time. 5 seconds to 5 minutes. Always freezes. Start new game. freezes. Full screen, windowed, any settings don't matter. Freezes.

Hrm, good to know. Thank you!
yes, i myself and others have had this problem since the game launch, it seems to be a disfunction with most games coming out unreal engine made games it seems to have this problem along with nvidia drivers and gpus most the 40-50 series. to resolve this problem, u need to roll back nvidia driver they reconmend 566.36 i believe, which is part of the stable side of things, otherwise youll deal with crashes/lag/major stutter/and freezes with newer games or worst a hard reset. 570+ drivers seem to be the problem with most hardware not accepting it, hope this helps.
you can find the fatal error in adm windows. to find the error code. might help dev. too
i never get crash

I think Posts like this should be ignored by everybody.

But why? - Cause there is NOTHING of value in it to solve the issue!

No hardware info
(Steam / Help / System Info)

No driver numbers

No crash report

Reason for the post was to find out if it was a known issue, as the only posts here about crashing was related to nvidia drivers. As I was under the 2 hour mark, I was trying to decide if I kept it and waited for an update or just refund it as a broken game. I am not here ranting or raving, just trying to get basic information:

576.40 Drivers
13th Gen -5-3600k 32Gb RAM
Win 11 Pro 24H2 (.4061)

there was already another post open on this. Unfortunately new posts like these cause others to be buried :(

Ive actually dumped some info from the crash dumps.

The issue is occurring as far back as the .02 nvidia driver so its not specifically due to the most recent nvidia driver.

Dont know if you read thru the entire post, but it does not seem to be related specifically to the nvidia drivers. Headlines can be misleading as people assume the issue is the first thing they notice rather than digging into the crash logs.

The issue might be related to you not having a GPU?
Here we go guessing all day long due to insufficient data.

As DV has stated, there are already posts on that topic.

I just asked for the bare minimum of data from him and even that was to much to ask for.
I dont want to harp on him but its hard to not do when he asks for help but provides nothing.
Its like telling a mechanic that your car broke down and when the mechanic asks to get a look at it, the person telling him he has it at home or showing him the title.
yea, i get it. as a support/admin guy from my work days, we found it was far easier for folks to quickly go... hey, known issue? in that regard, i wish steam would implement a ... Known issue aspect to the forums rather than a FAQ thread, or what not. Something that would enable the devs to put up/remove while asking for info rather than the pinned threads they have now. Just something a little more dynamic than sifting thru hundreds of replies only to see that the thread has been hijacked and morphed, but we all know people dont read the whole thread, they skip straight to the end :-P

edit - hell, now that i think about it, steam already has our pc specs. it would be awesome for a dev to put up a poll for a specific issue and everybody who participates would have all of thier pc specs compiled for the dev to spot any commonalities.
that would be an awesome tool.

As work sup/ad in a company you know what hardware and software is used, out in the wild its more like looking into a fortune teller ball.

4 sure Steam needs moderators or at least AI to merge stuff but holy F users here are just lazy.

I am at a point where people that say they are thirsty get used dishwater served without further questions.
