I would like to have a 3 way sorter, that toss outs bills left front and right depending on settings for yen/euro/usd.
I skipped all the marked bills stuff, so the cleaning table(?) went totally unused by me, got to the end anyways.
As others said, auto cleaning machine for marked bills
A better storage for stacks/bills, similar to palettes, but where i can pick ONE stack at the time and not all stacks i can pick (f-click)
I would wish for signs and not labels, shelves that can hold pallets (full) and maybe that bundels dont pile together.
The walking speed is fine. (looks like its bound to weight)
While I am on that topic, I would also say to hold off on giving us those special bills till we got a tutorial mission in regards to them. That way we don't accidentally just send them out or throw them into the piggy bank because that is what happened with me and the counterfeit bills. The Panther Mission requests either/or Marked and Counterfeit Bills. I would have held off on sending the counterfeit bills into the piggy bank if I knew I was going to need them. Now I an scrounging around for bills to finish up the mission. This also, goes for those commemorative bills.
Also in regards to the counterfeit bills they should off till you got the workbench and UV light unlocked. That ♥♥♥♥ is annoying to do with the portable UV light, since there is no great way to fan out the cash other than to toss it then manually go through them.
My main fear is that this game clearly should be early access. This is just a general cover all routes thought, but I'm worried with it being full release they'll (what would be called an update in early access) release as DLC for profit. I kind of feel thats what gas station simulator did. Don't get me wrong the price for what i'm getting it now is fair but making someone pay for problem they created is unreasonable. My benefit of doubt is in favor that this is not the case and would still buy DLC if it was one instance and solved every problem at once instead of trying to bleed out the profit.
I can see an automation system is this game in a way that hydroneer did it but maybe with the pneumatic tubes and conveyor lines. Money Counters that auto pack and drop out on a line that leads to a pallet.
And for the love of all things GET RID OF WOODEN PALLETS. Serves no purpose other than to annoy. $10 price difference to buy is nothing compared to the speed increase you get from plastic over wood. As a very experienced warehouse worker I would never trust anything you need to stack in this on a platform with slots in the middle of it.
Hold right click and press x to drop a single bill. extremely repetitive but you can fan out this way, but yes we need a 1 click option
I made my own makeshift dark room
So... if you shift f on a pile of money to get 300 in your hands.. and then crouch into that pile it creates a sphere or money that hoovers up all the loose stuff. try it.. you wont be disappointed
So another thing i learn in these forums, hold the bill tape in your hand and when a pack is ready, you left click the stack to pack it and it AUTOMATICALLy falls out of the sorter. this works with ANY of sorters
Hope these tips help you get more enjoyment out of the mundane
If you look for my darkroom post earlier today you will see a link there for youtube where i pretty much show all of these in that 1 video tho the money sphere one might not be in this iteration of the video
My current method of dealing with marked bills is dropping a stack in my UV area (Not workbench) and then quick picking them up holding the LMB, I stop when I pick up a marked and drop it to the side then continue again until the next bill.
Or I do vice versa if it's majority marked with only a few unmarked.
As to the holding the tape for the counter, I am looking for a way where I'm not needing to baby sit the damn machine constantly.
I am washing money, drying it and then trying to put it into my counters but when my machine needs me every 5 seconds it's annoying having to just let it sit do nothing or not do the other work I need to do.
Which is why I want to see the machine buffed in some way. Currently the only Solution I see to this is having 4 machine in a cascade where each machine only deals with one nomination of bill so you get 3 stacks filled up before it stops while other bills get spit out to another machine and so on. I'm sorry but I'm not buying 4 machines just for that.
I mean the amount of money late game the jobs are asking for are crazy having to baby sit them. I had a job that wanted $220,000 in clean bills (Can't remember if they asked for unmarked) Even if I'm only dealing with $100 stacks that is still 22 stacks of bills I need to sit and wait for through the machine. Chances are it's not just $100's they gave so your stuck dealing with even more stacks.
I want it where I can walk away from a machine and it still keeps working for more than 5 seconds. I honestly don't think I'm asking for a lot with this ether.
Also don't get me started on inked. I keep it to the side and toss it at quests whenver i can, and or I toss it to the pig. I straight up refuse to engage with the sponge.
I already toss all my money through the washer and dryers. I would happily buy a more thorough cleaner or washer of sorts that had some kind of more involved process. Or maybe having to mix a special cleaning solution for dyed money. Something other then having to manually spread out money on the bench and scrub each individual bill.
I would absolutely love a shelf with slots to put money stacks into though. Same with labels.
Inked bills have never bothered me, I pretty much never get any anyway and the ones you are predetermined to get because of story I just chucked in the pig/furnace. Never even used the workbench once so far and I've played through the game twice.
As for Marked bills, I think honestly they could go a really simple route and make it so holding left click only picks up the unmarked bills. Kinda like how it only picks up bills not trash. That way there's still a manual aspect, and some minor sorting needed if you want a specific Mark, but a massive quality of life improvement over what we currently have.
Faster walking speed when carrying large objects isnt really necessary because we already have the trolley for that. Although sometimes you have to put a pallet down first on it before it will accept boxes, which is silly imo. Just let us put boxes straight on it.
