Steam overlay is massive. Notifcations take up huge chunk of screen.
Hi, this is the only issue I've had with this game, and I can't seem to find a fix. The Steam overlay displays normally in-game, but on top of the normal display, it appears there's a much, MUCH larger notification (any kind, message, friend logging in/playing a game, etc, this includes using Shift+Tab to access full overlay) that appears to be rendered seperately?

Here's a screenshot: http://i1.minus.com/ibbUYr9Jre4P6G.png

Not too big of a deal in menus, but during gameplay, an enormous notification taking up a huge part of my screen has been such a big deal that I actually have to disable notifications while I play. Is there any known fix/workaround for this?

Thanks!

(Game is quite amazing, by the way. I really didn't expect it to be so good.)

Disable notifications in Steam options. It's the only solution at the moment, but really, I can't say I care that much when my friends start playing games anyway.

I have the same problem, when someone starts playing a game it popus up HUGE with a normal size one also, but the big one is flickering. Then when I hit Tab+Shift the overlay is constantly flickering and impossible to use lol. But meh, its doesnt bother me too much honestly.

Well, I don't care what my friends are playing, but I do kinda care when they message me. :p

i have this exact same problem and it is annoying beyond belief, however, it refuses to allow me to disable notifications. It just keeps turning them back on....

Off-topic, but I just randomly went from kinda-being-okay with the Enforcer to beating the game on my very first life of Acrid, whom I unlocked almost by accident. Craziness! Great game!

This bothers me a lot too. My solution until they fix it is to just disable the Steam overlay and play in windowed mode, so I can just pause and still easily pull up the chat window to talk, without having to minimize the game any time someone messages.
I play it in Window mode. That solves it for me. ^^

I'd rather burn to death in a fire made from pure hatred than play a game in windowed mode!*

(*Except borderless windowed, which every game needs to have.)

It doesn't seem THAT bad. I have it happen too. At least it is in the top left (for me) and doesn't obstruct actual action.

So don't disable the sound playing when a friend sends you a message, but disable the popup.

But then I have to pause and alt-tab just to see what they said! I appreciate the workarounds, but this just needs to be fixed.
