Is this boss even implemented in the game? I mean, I've played about 20 games, several of them even recyling to magma half a dozen times before I give up, and not once has there been a tunnel on the lower right, except a couple times when there was a chest at the end of it.

This was during single player.

What are the odds on this boss even being there? This is rediculous, and one of the cases where the RNG qualities of the game really piss me off. Getting Acrid was a pain in the ass like this too, but thankfully a level earlier.

It takes a while, but the miner is definatly worth it.

Wow I must be extremely lucky then as all the classes you have to find have been there the first time I've looked for them.

I'd say it's about a 20-25% chance the miner's tunnel is there if you get the lava level. Just keep on looping, you'll find it sooner or later.

Hm, Acrid is pretty common as far as i can tell. Are you looking in the right spot for the Direseeker? That lava tunnel at the far bottom-right that leads to one of those pods with the miner on the ground? Just check there every time the area shows up and i guess you'll get lucky eventually, its said to work on multiplayer too but possibily for one player only, or only for the host, its a bit weird with that.

Oh, do make sure you check the area before triggering the teleporter, it was a mistake i frequently made, the boss kinda spawns like a regular enemy inside of that area, and probably cant spawn if the teleporter's ready.

Yeah I always check down there first thing. (It's on the right side of the lava pool with all the metal beam platforms hanging above it, right?

Yeah, the rightmost pit of lava on the map, sometimes, depending on the map has a tunnel at the bottom where you've gotta wade through lava, finding a small cave with a pod on a high platform with the miner, sometimes the boss spawns on the large accesible platform, but i guess its not always a guarantee.

Maybe exiting that area and coming back a bit later will make the boss show up if he doesnt appear the first time, as i've never seen him spawn on-screen, he's ussually already there off-screen when going there. But that's just a guess, maybe he can spawn on-screen but i've never had that happen, so far.

the exact same thing is happening but with the opposite characters. i found the miner on my first look but i've played ~30 games and i NEVER get acrid no matter how many times i look, i never hit the teleporter before i go over there and i'm checking the right spot but it just makes me think i'm doing something wrong.

I know your pain only it took me 20 hours of gameplay to get him I poasted pritty much the same trend and a week later a got the miner I think the direseeker only spawns on a high time difuculty like impossible or insain or even HAHAHAHA if you get that high

WOW YOUR SO FREEKEN LUCKY I got so mad at this game because the amout of time it took me to get the miner arcid is easy he(she?) only spawns on single player

I was really lucky, first time in Magma Caves and already spawned Direseeker and unlocked Miner.

If you're frustrated with random chance elements, then this probably isn't the game for you, since it pretty much revolves around them.

Just be patient. The reason it's so rewarding when you finally unlock something is because it took the chance and effort to do it in the first place.

There's a point where it gets just plain rediculous. It wouldn't be a bad thing if they made certain things guranteed to show up after, say, 12 times in a row of not happening.

What if I go on for a decade and never get the chance unlock it? It's unlikely, but with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck I wouldn't doubt it.
