nope
You Dec 31, 2013 @ 3:55pm
use the teleporter

You can't.

Your team mate is stuck watching you finish the level, and upon the next level will be at whatever level they were when they died. Often this means that they'll be woefully underpowered to face the foes on that level.

If your team mate dies you may as well suicide. It's the gracious thing to do, as the game is either going to be dull or frustrating for them thereafter.

Ok thanks. Does anyone know if the developer is planning to fully implement co op play in the future?
Dan Jan 1, 2014 @ 12:17pm
What do you mean by fully?
Dry Jan 1, 2014 @ 1:07pm
he means that this game has zero coop functionality aside from being in the same map with someone else. to get an idea of what 'coop functionality' means look at l4d or borderlands etc
Dan Jan 1, 2014 @ 1:19pm
That's still not really clear.

Does he want the ability to apply abilities upon your co-op partner?
Dry Jan 1, 2014 @ 2:10pm
game functionality built around coop.
e.g. skills which buff/heal etc other players
or items which are made for multiplayer
or multiplayer game mechanics e.g. 2 people needing to stand on switches.

basically this game has nothing different in multiplayer compared to solo, except for having fewer zones in multi. that's the only difference. it's kinda sad.

Also a way to know your teammates items, level and hp would be nice.
But I read that the ability to revive teammates is coming.

You can "revive" your allies by getting to the teleporter and going to the next level. They'll be alive and well then, but they won't have gotten any xp or items since they died. so you may want to consider...helping them along.

The only helpful thing I've been able to do is heal people with the fungus item that gives you health while standing still

Has this issue been corrected?

  1. Please don't necro these really old threads, except if it's an actual issue which has been overlooked.
  2. There never was an issue to correct.

It was a bad enough issue that my friends and I decided not to bother playing it co-op.

As I stated, way back when:

That wasn't an issue, Rather it was an intended game mechanic. True to what's advertised in the trailer, You survive for as long as possible while progressing through the game. If an ally falls, They've failed, Simple as that. The difference between Co-op mode and Single Player is that you have multiple chances to pass a level.

As Krullemadulleha stated, Please refrain from necrobumping old threads which no longer hold any relevance.
