Bloated Survivor

I cannot find him, I've looked through some of the old threads about the bloated survivor and I can't see what I'm doing wrong, this is the last achievement I need and I've been trying to get it all day yesterday and some of today...

I go to the bottom right of the hive cluster (when that level actually appears) and he's never there (I'm playing single player on medium difficulty).

Am I just really unlucky or am I missing something?
