You must memorize enemy patterns and rush the teleporters as fast as you possibly can to even stand a chance at it though. Oh, fall damage works against you as well. No damage whatsoever.
Unlucky enough to get the magma level with the evolved lemurians, and you'll just have to restart.
That's the whole point of this challenge. DON'T let the timer get that high. The longer you go, the more chance there is of you getting hit. Thats why you bumrush the teleporter. And it does apply to this game. The whole final fight is nothing but a pattern. Once you get used to how the enemy attacks, how to avoid those attacks and when to attack them in the process, the game gets extremely easy.
The winged lemurians in the Magma Barracks aren't even really a threat at that point. And speed elites (yellow) can be easily avoided. Don't stop moving. They teleport and usually attack right after they teleport. If you move and jump you won't get hit.
Point is, for the Commando's 2nd challenge: Learn how to avoid enemy attacks and bumrush the teleporters.
The final boss fight is a one-on-one. It's the ONLY fight in the game where that's true. The rest of the game relies much less on patterns, and more on kiting and dps.
I've been hit by teleporting enemies, while moving and bunny-hopping, several times. I don't just randomly stop moving, and I don't shoot while on the ground. Saying winged lemurians aren't a threat, especially trying to do the no-hit achievement, is completely false. If you don't/can't kill them before they reach you, there's a high chance you will take damage.
Winged Lemurians don't even apply to the no hit challenge. They start showing up in the 4th and 5th stage. You don't even need to go there and if you did one of two things happened: 1. You got the unlock or 2. You screwed up and got hit and didn't get the unlock.
By "bumrush the teleporter" I mean don't worry about items and go find it. Devote every effort to finding the teleporter and surviving the events without getting hit.
They can't show up on the second stage? Awesome.
Getting to the teleporter as fast as possible is a given, I just question your wording.
You never answered my third question, though, assuming you have done this. Drizzle or no Drizzle?
Drizzle of course. On any other difficulty its extremely hard to even get to the 2nd teleporter without taking damage. Host an online game but don't invite any friends and play by yourself. It makes enemies have less health, spawn SLIGHTLY less, and the enemies do less damage (like that really matters here)
Your biggest problems are going to be Magma worms and jellyfish. Wisps and Greater wisps are a pain as well but not as much as jellies.
Best of luck to you mate. Its hard but the item you get it really strong.
I'll try a few times on normal Drizzle first. If I still fail, I'll try the host idea. I'll update the post when I win.
They don't have glass.
i did it before i found the glass relic, but like everyone said, that will absolutely make it so much easier.
there's a massive luck/skill block to the early learning curve of the game, but that forces you to learn the system. without spoiling this awesome game for you... use the commando to unlock the engineer, and use the indirect attack methods of the engineer to get you far enough to find the command relic, and use that command relic to really learn how the game and items work and unlock the vast majority (but not all) of the rest of the game.
trust me... even knowing this, there's still LOTS of work to be done and lots of fun to be had. i hit %100 a while ago and i still love playing =)
