That's a pretty good reason to have this level of zoom...at that particular boss fight, but it's obnoxious everywhere else.
Adding a zoom feature with the mouse wheel or something would be awesome
I don't even get why you want to zoom in, since it's only a tactical advantage for you. You see the enemies at longer distance, which is pretty much necessary when you have to deal with mobs that move faster than you, which means pretty much any enemy in the first few levels.
If that was the intended design, then why is the gameplay showcased zoomed in and cropped for 99% of the trailer? Why would the devs misrepresent their game like that? If I wanted my character to look like 5 little pixels on the screen, indecernible from lint that falls on the monitor, I'd go play some other indie game.
You guys have convinced me it's time for a refund, I and all the other people who don't appreciate deceptive advertising, thank you.
Listen, I have to agree on the trailer stuff, but you know if they had just put in the original footage, it wouldn't have worked out, since people would not have been able to see what was actually happening.
I'll agree on the fact that the trailer might've made it look like you could zoom in and out, but if that single missing "feature" is enough to make you not like this game, it seems like you didn't really want to play the game in the first place.
It is pretty sad that you didn't really give the game a chance before deciding that you didn't like it. You might've become accustomed to the zoomed out camera.
Honestly even with it zoomed out as it is a surprising amount can happen off screen. Particurally if you use the Engineer's missiles or similar useage items. You'll have problems where you will kill enemies, not realize they dropped an item (thanks to the clover) and only find out about it 20 seconds later. Especially if you have the glass artifact.
