no, sadly. they had to rewrite some parts of ror to make the modloading work, and they use a completely different programming language for it (lua). i don't think anyone's going to be motivated enough to rewrite their mods in a different language, even if somehow hopoo return to risk of rain 1 and create a workshop for it. because its a dead game by now, and they're probably never going to look back at it again.
short answer, no, and it never will be.
though this isn't much of an issue. the modloader is safe and easy to use, pretty much like most other modloaders out there. give it a try, see how it works out
Hoping for workshop support for risk of rain returns.
