As for get gud, I play call of duty zombies with my kids. At first, they die a lot. But they have a chance when they get revived. Instead of waiting in bore, they actually participated when they wait to get revive. It was intense, but they have fun and learn the game while playing with family.
In Modern Warfare 3, spec ops mode, if one team mate dies, the game ends. The same with Resident Evil raid mode. This forces the player to keep in check of each other.
With ROR2, it seems like it was a solo game. It just happen they all together in a same session. Nothing happens to the team when they die. The team moves on. They dont need to work together.
I have limited time to spend so i only spend it with playing coop game with my family. no single player for me anymore.
At the very least, could it be possible to implement revive as an option? Maybe penalize by reducing the coin amounts? This game got potential. I love the intensity.
But if you want to play more as a team you should try to learn what items are good on which survivors
The roguelike is the so called "charm" on this game for a reason. Games of this type reward you in a different way, like dead cells or the binding of Isaac. They give you items after you make some milestones on your sessions.
For that reason, there is the savior of the world! Dio! The lovely white bear that revives you (there is your revival mechanic) when you dig enough to get it.
You can have a lot of types of builds to prevent early deaths, or even mod the game to add the mechanic, or use the artifacts that can give you an early dio if you need it. But first you have to understand the fundamentals of the game instead of just demanding a new mechanic right away.
That can potentially break the gameplay experience (I mean the core game experience) that makes this game challenging.
To quote the game... "Try playing on "Drizzle" mode for an easier time."
Cheers. :)
You cannot. It works the same way as the first game.
Facts. Let them learn early.
Installation is pretty simple too.
