Not Woring in Full Screen

I just bought the game. Upon launching it, all I get is a black screen with audio. I researched the issue and set fullscreen to 0 in the prefs.ini file, and the game launches with visuals and audio. However, I want to actually play the game in full screen. How can I achieve this?

Edit: found another discussion with the answer. Alt-Entered to exit full screen, enabled vsync in the game settings, and then enabled fullscreen again. Works like a charm. Devs really should fix this.

Go to Risk of Rain Steam Folder and set it to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Fixed.
