You will be still bound by local law and will download german version or the game will be blocked.
soll uncut sein

Wenn man es auf englisch stellt dann ja. Bei mir auf deutsch ist es cut. Gibt aber auch einfach Patches :)

Thing is, the local law that required the German version to be censored back then doesn't apply to videogames anymore.

Is doch geil, dass wir eine "Spezial-Version" haben. Wer die nicht will, einfach auf Englisch stellen. Perfekte Lösung mmn.

geo-blocking is only for Russian games because they are cheaper.
If you reedem a Global or EU cd -key it is uncut then, same thing is when you receive a gifted game from somebody that has the uncut version.

for example Wolfenstein: The new Order when you buy it in Germany in a retail store or in the Steam shop you get the german cut version with censored swastikas everywhere and other dialoges when they are talking ingame but if you buy it online from a key shop, the global or eu version, then you have the uncut version and there is no problem redeeming or playing it.

sometimes, mostly on old games when you change the language from German to English you can play the uncut version even if you bought it in Germany but some Games have only the German language then and the English one is locked.

if you didnt know about the cut version and suddenly realize it after buying and when playing it you can just download a uncut patch for the game then.

why do you ask if you have all the answers? I was talking from how it worked for me. I have multiple CoD games on steam, all of them were tagged as blocked when I moved to germany for a year. But that was some time ago.

some games are cut and others are uncut in germany. not every game is censored and i only asked if this game is cut or uncut in steam. how am i supposed to know that? i had the answer on to how to get to own a uncut version
and there is no message at the steam shop page, at left 4 dead 2 it says "watch out: this is the low violence version" but other games dont have such a message but are still cut then.

Wenn ich es auf Englisch stelle, kann ich die Auflösung nicht mehr ändern.
