The mod developer mentioned that some features he planned had to be cut because the amount of additional lua scripts added caused the game to become unstable and crash constantly. One of these was a rebel base in the final mission where the player starts out before driving back to Paris to fight Deirker. This rebel base near them would have a bunch of rebels, ammo, weapons, fortifications, and rebel vehicles parked. Now it is scaled down to a few rebels and a couple vehicles. Better than nothing I guess, but hey, we are making new discoveries with each milestone.
Version 2.1 is out! The update can be installed for those that already have Global Mod 2.0 installed, and saved game data from 2.0 will carry over into 2.1 just fine.
Edit: Why the hell does the exclamation point look like this? --> !
Some kind of bug?
You can run the exe on your Windows machine, pointed at an empty directory, to extract the files. Then you can just copy those to the install folder on the Steam Deck.
No idea why it's not distributed as the raw files themselves, the exe doesn't actually do anything special other than extracting everything (and optionally backing up the original files).
