Meaning of Marksmanship, Assault Shooting and Field Skills?
Does anyone know what these stats actually mean?

Thanks!

Hover your mouse over them and it tells you. But, if I remember correctly Field Skills is actions such as opening doors, Assualt Shooting is how fast they aim at a target, and marksmanship is their chance to hit the target.

Yes thats true.
Assault shooting is the most important skill for close combat
Marksmanship for long range.

So I think it makes sense to make your troopers with high Assault shooting skill the pointman/breacher class
And high marksman skill is best for Assault.

Field skill is less important for me, if you want a door to open quickly you use breaches or a hammer. The time to install a breach doesnt really matter.

Anyway, I dont realize a big difference, between my troopers. Those skills seem to have not really a big impact on the gameplay. But I woud like to see some serious testing on this.

Why would anyone use a pointman when you've unlocked Assault? The way I go is in pairs now (1 assault, 1 breacher). 2 sets when I have 4 guys. Etc etc.
