Game not saving
I have tried verifying game files, and running as administator, but not matter what I do when I exit the game my files don't save...

Please help I am really enjoying this game but it not saving makes it kind of unplayable :/

Try these:

Did you try simply closing Windows Defender and any antivirus you may have?
You can also right-click on documents/killhousegames and set Write access for the current user.

Fixed it my antivirus (bitdefender) was blocking access to a certain folder, thanks for the quick response!!! Love the game

I have the same problem and I try all the solution that the developer says, but still the game reset after I close it. There is anything else I can do?

Same problem here, the game resets every time after I quit, my Controlled Folder Access is off, I don't have Bitdefender, McAfee doesn't seem to be blocking any Write Access. What is more, there is no Killhousegames folder in my Documents. I love the game but it is really frustrating that I have to start from fresh every time, please help!

I used to have a unicode Windows username, and I changed it (it is now only English letters) and reinstalled the game, it is still not working. Cannot spend the dotrine points in game either, wonder if they are related.

I use Windows 10 and I have the same issue earlier. It turns out the issue is with the Unicode in the file path of my documents.

There is a way to move the My Document folder path. First, create a new folder that you know there is no Unicode in the file path. Second, copy all files from old My Documents to the new one. Third and final, right click on the My Document -> Properties, select the Location tab, and change the file path to the new one you just created and copied.

I uninstall and install the game again and everything works now.
