Stinger Grenade Mechanics
I tried to look this up on Google but I can't seem to find how stinger grenades work mechanically. According to the description, they are supposed to cause enemies to flee if nearby them, and they can injure or kill those in close proximity. When I purchased the grenades and attempted to use them, I assumed the bright yellow circle would be the injure radius and the faded yellow would be the flee radius. However, when I attempted to use them, those in the bright yellow were injured/killed, like I expected, but those in the faded yellow were either unaffected or simply stunned. If the stinger grenades just stun instead of causing people to flee, why would I use them over flashbangs? (Except for damaging enemies) I was hoping to be able to use them in a hostage room with surrounding enemies, in order to cause the hostages to flee, opening a line of fire to the enemies. (As the description suggests). But the fact that they just stun just seems to make them worse flashbangs. Am I aiming the stingers incorrectly or is this the intended design?

Hi,

it's not a good idea, in my opinion, to hurt hostages with a stun grenade.

I usually use stunt grenades for trying to kill armored tangos like juggernaut Jim and grenadier Glenn.

But won't stingers cause hostages to flee? As long as they're not too close to the stinger?

Fleeing path is unpredictable. They may run away just right in the line of sight of another tango.

It's very situational. Depend from how much area of the surrounding is explored, doors, potential other tangos...

Anyway, it's just my opinion. Maybe I play the game in a strictly realistic way...
