The 10tc per win is a very small amount in the grand scheme of things, but it can give you a decent starting point so you have some tc to bet with. If you're good enough for a tournament, that's going to get you more than just normal play, but it's nice that you get something for playing well enough to get the occasional win. And betting can pick you up a good amount as well.

Did you beat Uke or a real person? If Uke, it wasn't an online match. If it was a real person, then check ask in chat about it. If you'd joined a tournament server, that might have different rules on TC rewards, and the same is also possible on a betting server.

Also, if you're talking about old gameplay, the TC reward for winning a match is a relatively recent addition (as far as "recent" goes with a game as old as this). You might have previously been playing before this was added.

If I recall correctly, you only got TC per win if you play in public server except tournament server. I suggest you to make some texture and sell it if you can drawing, even a simple head texture can be sold for a nice amount of TC especially for new player! Just try to search the tutorial in the forum via google, you will find some tutorial how to make a texture and how to preview it.

I got a few cool head textures for free, most of them are photoshopped by me, also they are not stolen from google. I took them from this thread.

I don't know about photoshopped texture, but I think you can't sell it too or maybe you need to contact the artist who made the texture.

The head textures there were random.
