Uhh, where is Parkour in that?
Toribash is marketed as a fighting game because that's what it comes out as while scratching its surface. Plus that's what's easy to appeal to a big audience.
All in all, it's a movement simulator. You can parkour, breakdance, trick, skate, play soccer/other sports and a ton of other stuff. At the highest of levels of play that are seen nowadays you can summon golems, manipulate time, teleport, among other things.
When you see the bigger picture, parkour is one of the game's components and far from being its most complex one.
I do Parkour and Free running, No where in this game can you Parkour, maybe Free run, doing some backflips.. but that's all.
So you "getting from A to B in the most efficient way possible" is absolutely an option in this game.
Feel free to provide your definition of parkour or why it isn't possible in the game.
No... You are completely wrong. This game has parkour, (Or free-running, which ever you prefer). You can move each body part seperately. In fact, if you were good enough, you could make moves you do in this game look almost exactly like real life. You can do parkour VERY well, with enough pratice. There's rolling, running, vaulting, climbing, flipping, jumping, landing, and very possibly, death.
At about 1:14 in that video is about the best example I've seen of an attempt at a speed vault. That's one of several things which I haven't seen a good example of in a toribash video/replay. I won't say it's not possible, but I haven't seen it. Also, most of the running motions I've seen from Toris are a little stilted and off from human movement, although skilled fighting and/or tricking can look impressively close to motion-capture.
EDIT: And after posting that, found a better Toribash speed vault here:

Go to 1:07, and watch what happens after the roll.
