I found another way to hit your opponent. If he/she is above or below you, extend or contract your hips to get them. You can even do this and twist your chest at the same time. If it's uke, just aim for the head in fight school when he performs his move and you are half way through contracting elbows, and extend elbows to catch his head, arms or torso. Also, here's another move. It's a basic jump kick for beginners and meant for long range combat.
1. Relax all. Space for 4 turns (or 1 turn for Mushu and mods with long frames).
2. Contract hips and pecs and lower arms. You should be in a half-squat.
These 2 moves are optional. You can also just contract hips and pecs and lower arms (unless in Taekwondo)
3. Extend hips and raise arms. Space for 1 turn.
4. Lower shoulders and contract hips. Use grabbing hands.
5. When you grab your opponent, contract elbows. This will add power to your kick.
Watch in free play as uke's head is ripped off and uke is bisected. Try not to DQ if doing free play in another mod.
