Also I am sure there are multiple more in depth tutorials than ones found on YouTube, you just have to do a little bit of digging in out tutorials subforums.
My recommendation: Don't even try running until you're at least a 2nd Dan Black Belt, with a thorough understanding of your tori's major muscle groups and how they affect movement and balance. Before you ask, no, I'm nowhere close to achieving this milestone.

Starting with tutorials like the one Chaos linked, that give a run of exactly what joints to move when, is your best bet if you started relatively a short while ago.
Overall make sure the you set the gravity to -30 (type /set gravity 0 0 -30) and practice a lot in free play.
