Well I don't think the manual is fully up to date. But yeah there's a lot to dig. And it's vital to use it for its tutorial part to read and play the tutorial in game in parallel.

I think, it's the same as it was during paper publishing... but I can be wrong. Anyway, most modifications would affect only some spells and races, and that can be checked in-game anyway. :)

Just wanted to point out that there is a nice walk through tutorial in the manual that has a preset game mode to go with it. As someone just learning the game for the first time this is an amazing tool.. I was lost before I noticed that.
