is the weapon banner wasting crystals?

is this weapon banner even worth pulling on? purple weapons dont seem that valueble endgame as you can just craft some? the legy weapon might be nice but 80 crystals... im not sure if this worth it. Maybe better save them or use them for dupe xanthia?

80 pulls only guarantees you a 75% chance of getting it when a 5* finally procs.

You'd need 160 pulls to guarantee getting it for sure, without luck ever entering the equation.

Edit: There's a new banner coming out in two days time on the 18th. Just wait until then if your crystals are burning a hole in your pocket.

The weapon banner is not worth it if you are F2P, same thing as Genshin Impact and Honkia Star Rail.

i havent played those but i already assumed so. so im better off saving them or spending them on a dupe xanthia?

if you dont plan on spending real money, than dupes and weapon banners are not worth it, save for future banners.

As a low-spender, I pulled mainly in the Special Banner (Xanthia-Banner) but now considering having 1x Xanthia and 6x Capecchi I pull the Weapon-Banner too, I know it is maybe not the most prudent thing to do, but so I got Capecchis Weapon and now I can build powerful Cappechi in the future, I also want to see the Skull flying beside me while playing. It depends on your spending, if you are F2P or low-spender, you might prioritize the Xanthia-Banner and as soon as you have all you want out of this banner save your crystals for the next Special Banner. I never pulled in the weapon banners in Genshin, but in Astra I feel like I want a good start into the game so I also spend some into the weapon banner. The most prudent way I see fit is to prioritize the Special Character banner and don't pull the weapon banner except you are like me and wanna equip your chars with best possible 4-star weapons at the expense of some char-copies.

You can get his weapon from standard banner pulls too. It kept showing up for me when I have no use for it rn.

i started pulling in the weapon banner and have no regrets so far. im like 20 pulls away from the legy. i did it for capachi weapon aswell :P Also dropped the staff for rani weird enough. ill just continu this till i get legy or hit pitty. i can easily farm those crystals in 2 weeks. sadly no capachi weapon dupes yet.

Those crystals will dry up eventually, is the thing.

Just the daily login + 2 weekly quest gems is about 25 pulls per 28 days. With the $5 daily 90 gem card, you'll be at about 40 pulls per 28 days.

Then there's obv gems from elsewhere (tower per 4 wks, trophies until those run out for good, events possibly.)

They already have several more characters complete and ready to go as well, so maybe see if there are any that catch your eye so you can save up for them.

I'm full f2p Pulled limited banners for char and weapon and got both so it was 100% worth for me. Xanthia is very good and with her weapon she even stronger now. Almost alone carried PVE and PVP for me. Yes, it was big risk to loose 50/50 for both.

Never do weapon pulls on any gatcha game ever even if you are paying its cheaper to just out outright buy the weapons with the drop materials.

Unless you cleared every world map till trophy lvl 10 it should be fairly easy to farm starstones. around 140 stamina for 240 starstones.

Yeah, as I said, those will potentially dry up over time. It all depends on how fast they are to add new areas/chapters or such for us to trophy farm.

Not saying it's wrong to go get'em, especially before more stuff appears to spend shoes on or whatever. Just that it's not unlimited in nature.

140 energy is basically a day each trophy level, first level is basically a given, so 9 levels x 7 chapters = 63 trophy levels to farm. So it'll last a little over two months if you hit it pretty religiously.

So it all just depends on how long the wait for new chapter(s) will be in the end.
