As for the other unit you can get aside from the healer, You should get Death Crown unless you already have him or don't like his play style or something.
Death Crown is one of the best units in game at the moment and is a dual element like Rhynara, but instead of being water/light, he is dark/fire.
Thanks for the reply, I considered getting Death Crown, but I heard we get him for free from the story or a permanent event or something, so I wasn't sure if I should use a ticket for him.
Something else that I forgot to mention is that there is a way in which you can actually test some of the units you don't have, this even if they are not on the current gacha / character trial event.
What you can do is: Go to any stage that you alrady completed and in the window where you arrange your units and food, there should be a green icon on the 4th character portrait from left to right. If you click that you can use units from other players as a support which will replace your unit during that stage run.
You may not always find the specific unit you want to test, since its dependant on what other players are using as a support unit, but there is still a chance you may find units like Violet and some of the others you don't have after refreshing the list a few times.
When you will be lacking some damage or in late game content - Violet will be better choice (I am using her as main electro DD in scenarios when only small part of enemies on the level have electric-weakness). And her healing is more active and bursty than Sorin's.
Edit:
Also, in the Golden City and "whole party on field" content - there Saeya is surprisingly strong, as her heal is debuff on enemy and your characters all hit enemy. Plus enemies there are dying slowly, so unlike other stages where enemies dies fast - her mark lasts for long.
Sorin only heals, theres no dmg there very one dimensional unlike Violet that can also do good dmg.
Sorin is easy to get going tho, don't need anything special, just give her half assed relics and she will do her job no problem.
Violet needs it all, good relics, good accessories, good weapon and halo and el cid.
Since you are asking then I assume your'e not a day 1 player, that you are trying to build teams to challenge harder content so in that case resources will be scarce and giving a healer "all the things" will be a big tax on your resources that could be used to power up your other dps heroes. (Keep in mind Violet is a dps also so its a 2 for 1)
If that is the case then Sorin every day.
If that is not the case, then Violet.
