Can you actually,,fight''as the main character?

I mean,we are supposed to be this powerful hero and we always carry a sword with us.
We also got attack animations as seen on this afk screen.

But we cant fight?

When all your Knights of Veda fall, you will transform back into the Master of the Book. While in this state, you can fight as the master of the book, and when you fill the Signature Skill of the Master of the Book, you'll be able to revive your other characters.
