FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS

How well is this game doing?
Lets play a game, list every Square Enix mobile game that got shut down only in a few years.

Besides Dissanda how successful are these games for SE? Clearly not much considering how short they last

Is this game doing better then the others or its end only a matter of time?

I know its not beating genshin but it does have over 10 million downloads so far i don't think its going anywhere its doing a lot better then echos did for example

the first soldier didn't even last 1 year but that was also not ported to steam same with echos of mana i honestly think any future title needs a steam version to have a better shot

While I don't fully remember all the Square Enix mobile games that I've touched upon, but I don't think that a PC-port of a mobile game can improve its lifespan.

I've played the following Square Enix titles that no longer exist, where I've written with the years when they were active. I've only taken the Western releases (regardless of iOS/Android-versions) into account:

Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade (2012-2014, no PC-port) - 2 years
Symphonica (2012-2016, no PC-port), 4 years
Guardian Cross (2012-2017, no PC-port) - 5 years
Deadman's Cross (2014-2017, no PC-port) - 3 years
Final Fantasy All The Bravest (2013-2023, no PC-port) - 10 years
Final Fantasy Record Keeper (2015-2022, no PC-port) - 7 years
Mobius Final Fantasy (2016-2020, PC-port at Steam) - 4 years

The following game is going to be shut down:
Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia (2018-2024, no PC-port) - 6 years

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (2016-) and War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (2020-) are other on-going titles besides FF7EC.

So as you can see, Mobius FF was the only title that got a PC Steam-port, and it didn't last longer than 4 years compared with the other mobile f2p FF-titles besides Airborne Brigade, and of course, The First Soldier.

TFS is definitely a title that I would have loved to see a PC-port of, since my phone couldn't run it. If FF7EC was mobile exclusive as well, then I wouldn't have been able to play it. I was able to play FF7EC back in September with an Android emulator, but subsequent updates have stopped this option.

Let's see how long FF7EC lasts. Hopefully we'll get to experience the story of Before Crisis before this game shuts down. That future is certain.

This is not a proper game, but rather a big ad for FFVII Remake / Rebirth. Most of the Twitter TT in past month previous to Rebirth are about costumes in-game (artirsts have been busy). Will it be shutdown like the other GaaS soon? Probably no, until they finish with the whole FFVII Remake story.

pretty skepitcal if people play it and pay for stuff it will remain if people don't it won't its that simple if they were only focused on just telling the story of remake why keep going with the first soldier stuff at all?

I would think before they shut it down they would want to save their legacy and turn it into a downloadable offline content single player game.

if it gets far into development perhaps i mean they did that for megaman x dive

That's what the Mobius Final Fantasy fans like me have been hoping for years since Square Enix shut it down in 2020.

The longing for MFF has gotten so far that there are different projects, where fans are making an RPG Maker fan remake of MFF, and a fan recreation of MFF for offline play.

Susprisingly fun. Nice. I LOVE it

I think this will last longer than Nier. The Nier series is amazing, but it's not Final Fantasy and especially not FF7.

Wow... Nier Re[in]carnation is officially closing down, with the end of service set for April 29, 2024. I did the right thing of not playing it, otherwise I'd be very disappointed.

It has been online for three years, just one year shorter than Mobius Final Fantasy.

Well, The First Soldier takes place in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, and it only lasted a little bit longer than a year.
